Using stellar data recovery free download, I can see that all the data is definitely still on the hard drive (1.23TB, mostly movies). I can run first aid on Samsung m3 (Operation successful), but not on subsection (epicmoe's media). With "epicmoe's media" selected, mount button is clickable, but does nothing. With Samsung m3 selected, mount button is greyed out.

In disk utility, with view set to (show all devices), Samsung m3 portable media shows up, with sub section ("epicmoe's media") also showing up, although greyed out. But when I open and copy files from the drive to the mac it works.
